Another week of cloud cover results in another reprocess of some old data. This time, Sharpless 142, the Wizard Nebula. Located in Cepheus, this emission nebula is 7,200 light years away and shines at a magnitude of 7.2. It has a radius of around 100 light years and is moving towards us at 34 kilometers per second (21 miles/sec). This is just under 2 hours of data from last July. If the clouds ever part, I may try to image it again this summer.
